About me – Myrna Coleman, freelance writer

I’m a creative thinker and problem-solver.  I love the challenge of a new project, enjoy meeting and learning all about people, have a knack for listening.  I really ENJOY communicating. The Who of me is a creative, energetic (often), smiling (usually), person who loves to observe others, to decide what has brought them to where they are. I have been a wife, a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and I have insight that reminds me how unique I am.  I love life, and love how being creative rejuvenates me everyday.

I’ve had jobs that enjoy using that creativity – selling cars, buying and reselling army surplus, selling rope wholesale (swordfish line to commercial fishermen, lariat rope to cowboy clowns, 5 inch diameter shipyard rope for tying up large ships, nylon parachute cord in many colors for braiding belts, mountain climbing rope), assistant teacher in a Head-Start program, columnist for local newspaper, mentoring agents in acquiring documents to assure title is cleared on property, review of title abstracts, and running a real estate office.

I sing, with a joyful heart.  I write poetry in my head, and my thoughts come out in metered rhyme.  I love to bake, and eat whatever goodies come out of the oven.  I collect antique tools, you know – hammers, planes, rulers, iron tractor seats…that’s right – tractor seats from old tractors.  I HANG them on the wall, like beautiful art.  I talk to people and listen – about their life, their problems.  People crave someone to listen.  I loved my husband, my partner in all of the things that I love.  He loved me too, so he loved what I loved.  I try not to throw the word “love” around like peanuts, but… I love life!

Life is a great adventure.  I want to walk you through some of mine on these pages. I’d love to hear about some of yours.
